Private Aged Care Services

Flexible, fee-for-service in-home support. For when you're waiting on funding, want extra support beyond your funded services, or would prefer to arrange care directly.

CatholicCare provides flexible private in-home support services for older people who aren’t yet eligible for government-funded aged care, are waiting for assessments or funding, or would simply prefer to arrange support directly. Our team can tailor support around your goals, preferences and lifestyle.

Who Private Services may suit

Private Services may be suitable for people who:

  • Are not currently eligible for government-funded aged care
  • Are waiting for My Aged Care assessments or funding approvals
  • Would like additional support beyond their funded services
  • Prefer greater flexibility and choice in the services they receive
  • Require temporary or short-term support at home

Benefits of Private Services

Private Services provide greater flexibility and immediate access to support without the need for government funding approvals or means testing. Many people choose Private Services to:

  • Access support sooner
  • Supplement existing aged care services
  • Arrange temporary supports following illness or hospitalisation
  • Trial services before entering government-funded aged care
  • Maintain independence and wellbeing at home

Pricing

Private Services are charged at CatholicCare’s standard fee-for-service rates. Our team can provide current pricing during your initial consultation, or you can request a copy of our fee schedule by contacting us on 1800 967 894.

The services available privately

As a private client, you can access our full range of in-home aged care services, from clinical care to personal care to everyday living support.

Whether you access support private or through government-funded programs, you get the same CatholicCare team and the same standard of care.

Getting Started

Private Services can be arranged directly with CatholicCare. There is no need to register with My Aged Care or wait for an assessment.

Step 1.

Get in touch

Contact our friendly team to have an initial conversation about your situation, what support you’re looking for, and how we can help.

Step 2.

Initial consultation

We’ll arrange a time to speak with you (and your family if you wish) in more detail about your needs, goals and preferences. This helps us understand what services would be most suitable.

Step 3.

Tailored support plan

Based on your consultation, we’ll put together a support plan that outlines the services, frequency and the costs involved. You’ll have the opportunity to review and adjust this before services begin.

Step 4.

Start receiving support

Once you’re happy with the plan, we’ll schedule your services and introduce you to your support team. We’ll check in regularly to make sure everything is working well.

Ready to get started?

Our team can talk through your situation and help you understand whether private support is the right fit for now, or whether to explore funded options first.
