Working Together with Our Parish Communities
We work closely with clergy and parish staff to understand the realities of parish life and to explore practical ways CatholicCare can support them and the communities they serve.
We recognise that no two parishes are the same, and each community brings its own strengths, challenges and priorities. This ongoing engagement helps us respond in ways that are locally relevant and meaningful.
Through listening and direct interaction, we gain valuable insight into where greater support, connection or information may be needed across all stages of life, including children, young people, families, older people, and people living with disability.
This includes initiatives such as:
- Ageing with Confidence, developed in response to needs identified within parish communities
- Cross+Gen, in conjunction with Catholic Education and schools, fostering meaningful interactions between generations, particularly focusing on technology
- CatholicCare Sundays, where we partner with parishes to have a presence at Mass and connect with children, families and individuals through information stalls and conversations.
Together, we strengthen connections between parishes and CatholicCare services, supporting an integrated model of care that is relevant, accessible and responsive.
