Standard Mental Health First Aid
About
Standard Mental Health First Aid is an evidence‑based training program that equips adults with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
Just like physical first aid, this course teaches you how to recognise the signs that someone may be struggling and how to respond in a safe, supportive and practical way until professional help is available.
Delivered by accredited instructors, the program combines education with real‑life scenarios to help you feel more confident having conversations about mental health and providing support when it matters most. Standard Mental Health First Aid is not therapy — it’s a practical course that empowers everyday people to make a meaningful difference in their family, workplace or community.
