Keeping Kids in Mind
About
Keeping Kids in Mind is a supportive, evidence‑based parenting program designed to help parents navigate the challenges of parenting after separation.
Separation can be a difficult time for families, especially when conflict continues. This course helps parents and carers better understand how separation and conflict can impact children’s emotional wellbeing, development and sense of security.
In a safe and respectful group environment, you’ll explore how to see the experience through your child’s eyes and learn practical ways to support them through change. The focus is on reducing the impact of conflict, strengthening parent–child relationships, and supporting children to feel safe, connected and resilient.
What will I learn?
- Understand the impact of separation and ongoing conflict on children
- See family change from their child’s perspective
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing, resilience and adjustment
- Respond to difficult emotions such as grief, anger and anxiety
- Build more positive and supportive parenting approaches after separation
Who is it for?
- Separated or divorced parents
