Mental Health Month
Mental Health Month runs from 1st-31st of October every year to give all of us the opportunity to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing. It is a time for us to grow our knowledge around how to care for our own mental health, as well as what we can do if we need some extra support.
The theme for Mental Health Month this year is "We All Have a Role to Play". With over 2 in 5 people experiencing a mental health condition at some point in the life (ABS, 2022), it is so important for us to come together as a community and play our role in creating better mental health for all. Whether your role is taking time to care for yourself, caring for someone close to you or supporting your community to be more mental health aware, every role makes a difference.
This Mental Health Month, CatholicCare will be sharing mental health and wellbeing tips and activities that can have a positive impact on our daily lives and the lives of others. Each Monday, we will be uploading new resources to this page which cater to all ages. Be sure to come back to this page throughout the month to continue positive wellbeing practices.
