School Counselling
Our School, Student & Family Program (SSFP) supports the wellbeing, resilience, and development of students and families across Catholic primary and secondary schools in the Diocese of Wollongong.

Supporting student wellbeing at school and home
We support individuals, couples and families with a range of concerns. Our school counselling services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
We support students experiencing:
- Emotional and behavioural challenges
- Anxiety, stress, and social pressures
- Friendship and family relationships
- Adjusting to school or life changes
- Building confidence and resilience
- Experiencing grief and loss
Our counsellors provide a safe, respectful space where students feel heard, valued and supported.
How we support students and families
We offer flexible, strengths-based support designed to meet students and families where they are.
Early intervention
Proactive support to identify concerns early and reduce the likelihood of issues becoming more complex.
Individual counselling
Confidential, one-on-one support to help students explore challenges, build coping strategies, and strengthen wellbeing.
Group programs
Small group sessions that build social skills, emotional awareness and peer connection.
Referral support
Collaborative guidance to connect students and families with appropriate external services when additional or specialist support is needed.

Alongside counselling, SSFP delivers targeted wellbeing programs that support students at key stages of development.
These programs focus on:

- Confidence and self-esteem
- Positive school transitions
