Diocesan Committee for Older People
The vision of this Committee is to be a Diocese that is a leader in respecting, including & caring for older parishioners.
This Committee contributes to the wellbeing and inclusion of older parishioners by providing information & opportunities to connect with a variety of support services. The Committee promotes the activities of parishes, service providers, and advocacy groups in their area to assist older parishioners to participate in their communities and to lead safe & fulfilling lives.
We are looking for members to join the Diocesan Committee for Older People and would love to hear from you.

- sourcing, developing and distributing information and resources
- assist with coordinating ‘Ageing with Confidence’ sessions
- Monthly 1.5hr meetings alternating in our Wollongong and Campbelltown offices. We try to carpool where we can.
What experience do you need?
- Compassion
- Lived experiences of aged care, whether personally or through your professional career
- Time to commit and contribute to meetings
Who does the Committee report to?
Through the CatholicCare Advisory Council, the Committee reports to and advises the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong of key issues affecting the wellbeing of older parishioners.
