Chaplaincy in Schools
Under the provsion of the National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program, CatholicCare's Pastoral Support Workers deliver services to selected Catholic primary schools in the Wollongong Diocese. Pastoral Support Workers work alongside teachers and CatholicCare's school counsellors to help kids in the development of peer relationships and positive behaviour as well as learn some important social skills. They also assist kids with their spiritual development and can be someone to talk things over with.
Currently, the program is available at the following schools:
- St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Camden
- Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Ingleburn
- Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School, Kiama
- St Clare's Catholic Primary School, Narellan Vale
