The ongoing commitment of our foster carers to opening their homes and hearts to vulnerable children was recognised at the Out of Home Care Team's annual Foster Care Week dinner.

Thirty-five guests, including Director Kath McCormack and 25 carers, attended the dinner at Altitude 1148 restaurant at Bulli Tops on September 19, 2012. The dinner provided an opportunity for CatholicCare to recognise the service of foster carers in the community and offered them a chance to mingle and connect with one another.

Children's and Youth Services Executive Manager Peta Andersson praised the carers' valuable work of providing a safe, nurturing environment and working as a team with caseworkers to provide for the best interests of children and young people. Kath presented two carers with certificates of appreciation for their 15 years of service and congratulated others for their service ranging from 5 to 20 years.
