Pastoral Care is caring companionship that responds to the emotional and spiritual needs of another person. Pastoral Care is about being there for the other by taking the time to listen with empathy and respect, connecting a person with their feelings as well as helping them find meaning and value in their life story. CatholicCare trains volunteers in Pastoral Care to specially tend to the spiritual and emotional needs (the unseen needs) of people who are ageing.
